Plan before delivery
Give the supplier your receiving address, institutional contact and delivery constraints. Agree transport requirements for the specific material before shipment.
Inspect the identifiers
Check compound name, lot identifier, fill designation and package condition against the accepted order. Record discrepancies before the material enters routine laboratory inventory.
Follow the material-specific instructions
Use the supplier’s validated storage instructions and safety data sheet. Do not infer storage temperature, stability or handling requirements from a generic catalog image.
Keep records together
Retain the receiving date, photographs of damage if relevant, the material label, accepted specification and lot-specific analytical documents in your institutional record system.
